Dragon’s blood? Actual Dragon’s blood?!
Don’t worry you haven’t accidentally stepped into one of Severus Snape’s potions classes, it’s just little old me, and a bottle of one of Nip and Fab‘s kookiest products.
This product smells like freshly washed hair. You know the smell when you flip your hair around after it’s been washed well with shampoo? It’s a soapy smell with an almost nutmeggy base note, which is delightful.
This product promises to “deliver an instant shot of moisture to dehydrated skin” and “leave skin feeling comforted and looking plumper with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles reduced.”
I loved using this serum because it gave me instant moisture and a glow before I’ve even applied make up. I used it underneath my Nude by Nature foundation and it didn’t dry out at all.
However, I didn’t notice my skin looking plumper or any fine lines being reduced.
So, let’s find out how many dragons were harmed in the making of this product… *drum roll*
None! This product contains a resin from the Croton Lechleri tree commonly called dragons blood, which forms protective film on skin to protect against environmental aggressors.
It also has velvet flower (celosia) which enhances moisturisation and illuminates skin, Gransil EP-9 to absorb excess oil and Hyaluronic acid which hydrates and refines skin texture.
The ingredients list also contains a few alcohols including Benzyl alcohol, so those with very sensitive skin should be careful with this one.
This serum is super easy to apply and does the job well, especially when used under make-up.
Nip and Fab Skin Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum can be bought online and at Boots stores in the UK.
Fix or fail?
I’m a big fan of this product and I’m using it all time now since my Dermalogica serum ran out (also great).
Verdict: beauty fix
With thanks to MediaHubb for providing the product.
FYI Kylie Jenner also loves this serum (not that that’s the reason I wanted to try it or anything…)
